As someone who has poured hundreds of hours into playing on TCO and has been playing since CotA, Grim Reminders has effectively destroyed my play experience. Almost everyone is just playing 90+ SAS GR decks with non-interactive combos. For years I was able to play from across my entire collection and find close, exciting matchups frequently. Nowadays, even playing among my best decks I still get stomped, and often with almost no counterplay. And sure, I can just list "no GR" in the room name, which half the time people don't even read, and wait infinitely longer for an acceptable match. And did I really want this game to be revived just so I could play all the decks I played during the hiatus? Such an exciting revival... Guess I need to jump through a few more hoops to be able to "play the way I want". At this point, I don't think errata can save it as there are way too many problem cards. My hope is that Aember Skies, Tokens of Change and Prophetic Visions introduce enough to curb GR (without just being broken themselves) and return the game to that back and forth Keyforge is known for, while also being popular enough that people aren't still just spamming GR all the time. When it comes to Keyforge vs other card games, I've always loved the prospect of the truly open meta, where all different kinds of decks from all different sets can co-exist and there's more of a culture around remarking on the interesting and unique decks each person has, rather than things revolving around specific deck archetypes. (And this used to exist. We had this.) Which is why the Vegas Vault Tour with 6 out of the top 8 being Geistoid + Mars just made me sad. I really hope in a year or so this can all just be a bad dream and I'll love Keyforge more than ever. But that all depends on Ghost Galaxy...

I'm a new player who started a couple weeks back and just wanted to weigh in with some of my own thoughts. I completely agree on advertising being lacking. There are three things that made me aware of the game through sheer luck over the last two months: 1 - A podcast I listened to mentioned it offhand when talking about really cool game ideas that didn't take off 2 - A friend mentioned really liking it pre-Covid 3 - I found your introduction video to walk through the game and found out it still existed. This finally convinced me to buy into it Why Ghost Galaxy can't even do some simple sponsored RUclips videos, podcasts, or social media advertising confuses me. I would have absolutely gotten into the game months ago had I just gotten to see the game somewhere. They have a great game with an amazing pitch for the casual TCG audience. You pay the cost of 2-3 booster packs and get a complete deck! There's no netdecking, no shelling out crazy money for the best cards, and no deckbuilding time. You just show up, crack a deck, and start playing in under 5 minutes. That is a game designer and marketing dream. The only hurdles between them and people just playing their game is LGS availability and actually hearing about it. On top of that, they've even thought ahead for more cool ways to build off the game! They have a free-for-all multiplayer mode out and they have multiple co-op PvE adventures available. There are so many ways they could be pitching this game and it makes me slightly concerned that they don't seem to be taking advantage of it. I absolutely plan on getting a couple decks from the newest set coming out because I love the themes, but it is hard not being able to go to an LGS and trying to schedule friends to come try it out and teach them fresh each time. I have hopes because I've found a couple who want to keep playing, but it would be nice to have that local community as well.

Mentioning Beanstalk was strange. Beanstalk has had 0 Competitive success and has actually proven to be kind of overrated. It's isn't even a Top 10 Artifact in the Set. As an example, Well of Memory and Island of Misfit Toys are both far and away stronger than Beanstalk. It is also wrong to say Winds of Death is the most problematic card in the set. It might not be even in the Top 5 most problematic. Spectral Ruth, Dr. X, Well of Memory, Witch Queen, and In Here Somewhere are all more problematic.

I've heard that next set will have good and hard counters to the most common GR combos. So let's wait and see! ;)

The rule with Kelifi dragon and wild wormhole is since it can’t be played it goes back on top of the deck. So I say that would happen with trubaru too

I find that tiny "+" pointer distracting & never use it. I also do an IDBEHOLDL to make the maps look a lot brighter & more colorful. I also start EACH new map with no weapons from the prev map , by doing an IDCLEV02 for ex, when done with Map 01.

Shadow self would be good next to shaffles, ember imp, succubus or the shadow steal skirmish guy. Three fates pairs well with your troubadour and sometimes dust imp. Very solid COTA deck.

Nice video. Even Pink Fraud went 0-2 at a VT this year. Always good to familiarize yourself with the various sets. It didn't come up in your game it sounds like but when I see that list, besides the 3x Edai the 1st thing I see is the 2x Tribute + Exile which is a devastating combo. Very cool deck too. It would be a great addition to an NKFL lineup.

i really like keyforge. i hated seeing it become another -admittedly unexpected- victim of covid (though, if any card game had to die to a disease that typically kills people, kinda flavorful that it was our whackey everything goes fantasy game) and I'm incredibly happy to see it getting a revive now maybe now I'll actually be able to afford a 7 sins deck 🙂

Wonderful video - KeyForge is a game that many more people should play, because it's really worth it.

That was a great overview of KeyForge and glad you included mechanics from the latest sets! Would love to see more KeyForge content. For anyone starting out, I'd recommend seeing if there is a local KeyForge community in your area as I'm sure people have extra decks or tokens they can give out!

They still haven't made it digital, this is the worst fail in gaming history, I was so hyped for getting my custom decks and being able to play with them online. I cannot believe they have missed this opportunity, it blows my mind...

OMG right about when I was going to compliment this WAD for being one of the best Doom map-packs ever, the level design started to become all gimmicky around map 12 or so.... what a shame.... the first levels were flowing so nicely and then it becomes this trash... constant die reload die reload level design after the first levels... that's it then, my absolute favorite Doom WAD ever remains AVACTOR (2018 cacoward winner)

This is what they call a slaughtermap? I take it the rest of the wad is slaughter? It wasn't a hard map at all, map 5 was 10x harder, but it's not exactly the style I like. Can you recommend other wads that are less slaughter-y?

map feels like a 50 minute plutonia map; death traps, almost no resources, then more cramped death traps. But why don't you like the engine? I really enjoy eternity, except for a few bugs here or there (but all the source ports have pretty annoying bugs). The mouse options did take some fiddling to make the mouse feel good

14:36 this happens to me a lot. I have about 400-500hrs on poe, and i have realized that it is very difficult to perfectly mirror a build. I tried replicating a voidfletcher ice shot build for my ranger, the build said you could easily do millions of damage when i reach end game, so i got all the necessary uniques and tried my damndest to get the right cluster jewels and rare gear pieces (cost around 5 div for all of is….a lot for me) but even with ALL of that, my damage output was not nearly enough. And it seems the reason that my damage output isnt as much as said is because i cant afford to socket EVERYTHING with awakened gems. Even just one is them is way out my pay range, much less ALL my support gems, so now my ranger is at a stand still, and if makes me fee like i wasted my time trying to replicate what i thought would be my strongest build.
